A LOCAL singer is leaving her mark as she wins a plethora of awards and boosts her bank balance.

Earlier this year the talented singer, who belongs to The Brigette Thomas School of Music in Pontypool, auditioned for Britain's Got Talent and will find out in February next year if she is successful. The classically trained pupil from Abersychan, sang her first solo aged two in Snatchwood Road Methodist Church, and hopes to become a professional singer. She is a member of a religious choir, spirit choir, and also plays piano at grade 7.

Miss Hall explained that she doesn't get stressed while trying to juggle studying her A Levels in Drama, Law, Maths and Business with performing as she is quite a laid back person.

She said: "I have been keeping on top of my work and have only had to take a few days off for auditions.

From the Welsh Factor I won £1,000, Owain Moneys Search For A Star I received £500, and FameFactor I won £1,000. I am hoping to get a car to get between auditions."

Next year she hopes to enter the X Factor competition.
