THE latest acts to perform at the first urban music festival in Abergavenny this summer have been announced.Rapper and songwriter Chip, formerly known as Chipmunk, is best known for his hit single ‘Oospy Daisy’ and ‘Champion’ featuring American R&B singer Chris Brown.

The 19 year-old will join hip-hop artist Tinchy Stryder, Junior Brat and Daniel Campbell on stage at the Breakin’ Out concert in Bailey Park on June 16.

Grime artist Skepta, whose real name is Joseph Junior Adenuga, has also confirmed he will entertain thousands of youngsters aged between 11 and 25 at the event.

Skepta, 27, has received acclaim for his albums ‘Greatest hits’ and Microphone Champion’ as well as being named best newcomer and best hip hop artist at the MOBO awards.

Other performers signed up for the festival include Abyss Dance Crew, Charlotte Rene and X Factor contestant Rachel Hylton.

The alcohol-free festival will feature national and local performing on three stages, which runs from 10am until 10pm.

The festival is being organised by the Breakin’ Out team, a community interest company, set up by 20 local people who work with young people in the community.
