Chepstow singer gets through to the live shows of BBC TV's The Voice

A CHEPSTOW singer burst into tears after Sir Tom Jones and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue turned their chairs around on hit BBC show The Voice on Saturday night.
Hannah Berney, 21, from Pwllmeyric, sang Lady Gaga's You and I in a blind audition in front of the show's coaches, which also included singer Jessie J and Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am.
The former Wyedean School pupil, who is studying history and french at Exeter University, chose coach Danny O'Donoghue, who will take her through to the live shows.
The show aims to find a talent based purely on their voice. Coaches only press their buttons if they want the person on their team. "It was exciting but nerve-wracking to perform in front of the coaches, especially as I have albums by all of them," said Miss Berney.
The Voice is on BBC One at 7pm on Saturday nights.
