CHEPSTOW singer and The Voice contestant is on her way to perform in front of the Queen.

Speaking to the Free Press today, Hannah Berney, 21, said: "I'm currently on a train to Exeter as I am singing a solo for the Queen tomorrow as part of the entertainment for the opening of the Exeter University Forum.

"This is probably the biggest week of my life so far and I'm loving it."

As part of The Voice competition she wowed the public with her performances on the BBC show and has now made it through to the final 18.

The former Wyedean School pupil performed Lady Gaga's 'You and I' in a blind audition before choosing Danny O'Donoghue from The Script as her coach.

She is now counting on support from her home town after being put through to the live shows this weekend.

She said: "Rehearsals are going really well for this weekend. I'm so so excited to perform for the public live and also to do so with a song I truly love. I hope people like it.

"I'm hoping to do Wales proud being the only Welsh one on the Voice now, it's shaping up to be a mad but exciting week."
