Drum band at Blaenavon landlord’s fun event

A POPULAR local drumming band will be one of the attractions at an event run by a local housing organisation this month.
Sling Shot Street Band, who are based at the Neon Youth Club in Blaenavon, will perform at Bron Afon Community Housing’s family fun day on Saturday, September 15.
As well as performing, the band will run a workshop session for anyone who wants to have a go at making music with all kinds of drums.
There will be lots of free activities on offer, including a barbecue, owl and kestrel stand, bouncy castle, photo booth, climbing wall, donkey rides, stalls and prizes.
The event will be held at Llantarnam School from noon until 4pm.
