COUNTING in Wales for a referendum on Welsh Assembly powers is underway this morning.
Voters attended 2,506 polling stations across Wales up until 10pm yesterday.
People were asked whether they want the assembly to have primary legislative powers in Wales.
Currently, the Welsh Assembly Government has to apply to Westminster for a Legislative Competence Order (LCO) in order for a law to come into effect.
Votes from the 22 local authorities are scheduled to be counted in The Senedd, Cardiff, from 10am onwards by The Electoral Commission - with the result expected later today.
While counting is under way the building has been made off limits to the public as well as Welsh Assembly staff, who work in the nearby Ty Hywel.
