When the call came in to ask for help with securing flag poles for a trade stand at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, the Rogerstone-based Spirafix Ground Anchors team were only too happy to help.

The project brief was simple – secure 16 10m tall promotional flags without using concrete for the David Evans Agricultural Ltd stand .

Nick Land, technical director of Spirafix Ltd, said: "This was such as easy project for us. We have a lot of experience of securing flag poles at events such as this and it’s certainly a growing area simply because our base plates and anchors are easy to install, easy to remove and look very professional – just what you need at a public event."

The show takes place over four days every year on the showground at Builth Wells. With more than 225,000 visitors, it is the ‘must attend’ event in the Welsh farming calendar.

Nick said: "David Evans, of David Evans Agricultural Ltd, was great to work with and presented a very professional stand at the show. As main dealers for Valtra and Fendt it was really important for him to ensure everything was secure."

Spirafix was set up in 2002 and relocated to Newport in January 2014 to bigger premises with greater workshop capabilities. The joint directors are Nick Land, Tony Morgan and Paul Clatworthy.
