Leading UK energy consultancy UES Energy has undergone a major structural development to cope with the strong, sustained growth experienced since 2011, including a record-breaking performance in 2014.

The Caerphilly-based business has announced the creation of a leadership team of five key people following a turnover in excess of £1.84m this financial year - an increase of 23 per cent on 2014 and the 12th consecutive year’s growth for the company founded in 2003.

The leadership team includes managing director Andrew Diplock, commercial director Gruff Dodd, business development director Richard Bennett, client services director Andy Hutchinson and business improvement director Alison Howard.

Andrew Diplock said: “I wanted to create a leadership team in which each member would have the accountability and responsibilities to manage critical areas of business.

“It brings into focus expertise in strategy, business development, client services, energy markets and risk management, supplier relationships, business processes and systems and organisational development.

“Like changing up a gear, I believe that the new structure will drive the company to the next level and help us achieve our vision while remaining focused on service excellence.”

UES Energy and its staff have been recognised by their peers in the energy consultancy industry across the UK with national awards in 2013 and 2014 and Andrew Diplock was named IoD Wales Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors in 2014.

The company now manages more than £140m of energy contracts (more than 1.75TWh of energy) for clients across the UK, including Wales and West Utilities and the National Grid itself.
