Caldicot independent oil distribution company Estuary Oils celebrates first year of trading

With more than 35 years’ experience within the industry, Estuary Oils is an independent family-run fuels and lubricants supplier servicing South Wales and the surrounding areas.

Founded by managing director Andrew Mould, formerly of Severn Fuels, Estuary Oils has been fully supported within its year of trading, with more than 20 million litres of fuel being delivered to a range of domestic, agricultural and industrial customers across South Wales and the Forest of Dean.

Andrew, who established Severn Fuels at the age of 17, built the company to more than 80 million litres of fuels and 2.8 million litres of lubricants, before selling to GB Oils in 2011.

Before launching the family-run business, Estuary Oils in August 2014.

Andrew now finds his daughter Sophie and son David following in his footsteps.

Sophie, previously in the sales department of Severn Fuels, now heads up the sales division at Estuary Oils. While son David, who has been driving fuel tankers since the age of 18 takes on the role of operations manager.

Andrew said “We’ve established Estuary Oils with the aim of providing an independent family oil company, which is built upon the basis of hard-work, quality products and a level of service which cannot be beaten. After spending nearly three years out of the oil and lubricants industry, it became apparent that this is something South Wales and the surrounding areas are desperately lacking. We have been overwhelmed by the level of support we have received from our local customers, and look forward to celebrating with them at the forthcoming Usk Show in September.”

In addition to serving domestic, agricultural and industrial customers across South Wales, Estuary Oils specialises in bulk fuel deliveries, emergency call-outs, fuel tank replacement and mini-tanker services and are one of few companies within Wales to distribute Texaco and Q8 lubricants, while offering a full range of own brand products.
