Newport-based IT support firm A2Z Computing has made four key appointments in its bid for continued growth over the next 12 months.

Alyson Hunt is appointed office and HR manager, Joel Thomas is the new head of technical, and Sal Baqi and Nathan Gittings join as support technicians.

The appointments come at a time when A2Z Computing has renovated its premises; creating a 5,300 sq ft space across two floors.

The converted chapel will serve as the head office for A2Z Computing on the first floor with rentable office space available to other businesses on the ground floor.

Managing director Az Ashraf said: “The new appointments will allow A2Z to continue to grow and concentrate on nurturing the existing relationships with our clients and develop new relationships. Alyson will be able to concentrate on achieving important accreditations and certifications, in addition to ensuring the smooth running of the office and fulfilling the HR role.

“Joel will be able to oversee our technical side of the business as well as assist the development of each of the support technicians in achieving new IT accreditations."

Mr Ashraf said: “The top floor has been designed with two designated areas to accommodate the main office and the workshop all on one level. This idea is that clients can come into the workshop and see the engineers at work and see their machines being repaired if they so wish. There is a designated meeting room on the top level, along with two other meeting rooms on the ground floor.”

A2Z Computing has a 12-month growth plan which will see additional staff appointed in the technical and administrative sides of the business.

"The business has been growing rapidly and we've been crying out for additional space," said Az.

"We have workshops, IT repair units and staff contact centres all based at our offices and after the addition of many new contracts it was essential for us to expand. This extra space has allowed us to upgrade, improve and customise our space to suit our needs."

A2Z Computing supplies a plethora of hardware including PCs, laptops and tablets to clients across the world. It offers varied IT support contracts and also develops its own software for some of its clients in public services.
