The third Landlord Forum based in Cwmbran is taking place on January 27, at the Parkway Hotel and Spa in Llantarnam at 6pm.

The event is being organised by Cwmbran-based firms Rubin Lewis O'Brien and Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors, who are sponsors of the forum.

Penny Jarman, business development executive at QualitySolicitors Rubin Lewis O’Brien, said: “The Landlord Forums aim to be an educational platform for all landlords in the area.

“Landlords can discuss their experiences and bring issues to light in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are delighted that we have two great speakers to cover the Homes for Wales campaign and how healthy lifestyles can impact on our living habits for the benefit of the properties we occupy.”

The first speaker is Pauline Sykes, who is employed by the Healthy Working Wales team within Public Health Wales providing a range of free support services to public, private and third sector organisations and she will be conducting a Buy to Let Safety Review to help landlords understand health and safety responsibilities within their buy to let business.

The second speaker for the evening is Daniel Bellis, policy officer at the Residential Landlords Association, Wales.

He will be talking about The Homes for Wales campaign which brings together those who believe everyone has a right to a decent affordable home to call their own.

Mrs Jarman said: "We want attendees to benefit from the forum. We hope that the speakers can offer real value to those landlords who wish to engage with this free service which is available for all current or potential landlords across the region."
