Top automotive firm Mon Motors’ hosted a hugely successful business networking breakfast on behalf of St David’s Hospice Care at its Newport Ford showroom at Spytty. The event was attended by some 60 people.

Mon Motors Group managing director Gavin Cleverly, welcoming networkers, spoke of the origins of the Gwent-based car business from its roots as a three vehicle transport firm to one which now employs 700 people across Wales and the west.

He outlined the company’s ongoing support for St David’s Hospice Care and for the ‘fantastic work that the charity does throughout out community'.

Mostyn Richards, the former WRU elite performance manager, gave an insight into mentoring while social media guru Helen Reynolds explored the world of twitter, facebook and digital media and the unexpected benefits of social media discussions centred on chocolate biscuits.

Kris Broome, of St David’s Hospice Care, said: “We were delighted with the numbers attending and quality of the speakers for our networking breakfast which was held in the superb surroundings of the Newport Ford showrooms at Spytty.”

Winner of the charity raffle was Andrew Wilkins, of Plutus Healthcare.
