A 30th anniversary gala dinner staged by Wales law firm Berry Smith raised £2,530 for Newport-based St David’s Hospice Care.
The event staged at the Cardiff’s Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama revolved around legal and musical themes with significant contributions from Clive Coleman, the BBC’s legal correspondent, the Drum Waiters, a highly-innovative percussion group and students from the college who provided a jazz background during the evening.
Alison Hoy, Berry Smith’s chief executive, welcomed the guests by referencing events of 30 years ago but also took the opportunity to look to the future.
Berry Smith has represented nearly 20,000 clients, and handled billions of pounds worth of transactions on their behalf in that time, both nationally and internationally.
Franca Nigro, of St David’s Hospice Care, who attended the anniversary event, said: “We’re thrilled that Berry Smith chose to raise funds for St David’s Hospice Care at the gala dinner celebrating such a significant milestone in their history.”
