Mortgage expert Ian Bavey has become a director of Seer Green Financial Planning, one of Wales’ leading financial advisory firms.

Ian has been a senior adviser at the Newport-headquartered financial planning business for six years and has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry.

He began his career as a paraplanner before moving on to work in financial services in the City of London and qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2001.

Ian specialises in mortgage and protection advice and is also qualified to advise on equity release schemes, including lifetime mortgages and home reversion schemes.

Founding director of Seer Green Financial Planning Siobhan Thomas said: “Ian has been a pivotal part of the Seer Green team since he joined and I am thrilled that he is joining me as a director, we make a great team.

“We have recently become directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and we have big expansion plans for the coming months and having Ian as a director bolsters the businesses’ ambition and potential.”

Ian Bavey said: “Becoming a director seemed like the perfect next step for me. Seer Green is a business full of committed and enthusiastic people and I am excited about its future.

“2017 is going to be a bumper year for us. We are planning on taking on ten more advisers off the back of our direct authorisation status and it is great to be part of the team managing the company at this exciting time.”

Seer Green provides expert advice for businesses and individuals regarding their mortgages, investments, tax planning, pensions, and insurance.

The business was founded in 2010 and from its head office at the Celtic Springs Business Park in Newport has built up a portfolio of clients across Wales and the South West of England.
