Langstone-headquartered Retail Merchandising Services has appointed a new chief financial officer.

Greg Bowen has taken up the newly created position with the company, which provides retail support services to some of the biggest retail brands across the UK and Ireland.

Mr Bowen will be responsible for the company's financial department. He has previously worked with large companies including PHS Group and Ecolab and has experience in managing complex projects to improve business efficiency.

Daniel O'Toole, managing director of RMS, said: "I'm thrilled to have Greg on board. Not only does he live and breathe our #RMSfamily culture and values, but with his wealth of experience in finance, he will ensure we continue to grow on robust financial foundations."

Greg Bowen said: "I am really pleased to be joining the company in what is a very important and exciting time for RMS.

"RMS is due to launch its new technology later this month that will improve the way the business delivers its services.

"My intention is to develop and maintain a finance department which offers a first-class service to our stakeholders, along with promoting strong control and governance procedures; and accuracy and transparency of reporting.

“Part of my focus will also be to use my commercial skills and experience with senior figures to help take the business to the next level in the coming years."
