Principality Building Society has appointed Rhian Langham as chief people officer as part of a restructure of the executive team subject to final regulatory approval.
Rhian is currently the head of human resources at Principality and brings a wealth of experience from her previous senior HR roles for Bristol Water and ING Direct.
The new chief people officer position will play a pivotal role in helping the society improve its services to members in the next few years.
Rhian will take up her post on January 1, 2018, and will assume responsibility for HR, learning and development, reward and payroll, health and wellbeing, workplace strategy and facilities, as well as internal communications.
Steve Hughes, CEO of Principality Building Society, said: “I am confident Rhian will be a strong and effective leader of the People Function and the Executive team. This is a fantastic achievement for Rhian she is so proud and excited to be representing our Society which has its history steeped in helping serve Welsh communities. Her passion for our organisation and brand came through loud and clear in the selection process and I am looking forward to working with Rhian in driving our people agenda forward.
“It is also testament to the strength of talent in our organisation. Our people are our greatest asset and we are committed to investing in culture, talent, leadership and broader development to ensure we can all be the best that we can be. Investing in our people will help us to keep delivering outstanding customer experience for our members.”
