Businesses in the Ebbw Vale Innovation Centre have been busy helping the homeless in South Wales.

Tenants of the prestigious business centre responded enthusiastically to the Christmas Appeal by SLS to help people who will be struggling, either because of homelessness, or living in difficult circumstances in the Festive period.

They filled shoe boxes with sweets, biscuits and other essentials to be distributed around South Wales to the vulnerable, those in hostels, refuges and emergency accommodation.

EVIC Businesses who took part included Media Design Ltd, Scan & Collate, Tillery Action For You, Lift By Encore , Pepperall Trading Co, Audiology Associates andWarwick Audio.

EVIC is owned and run by Tata Steel subsidiary UK Steel Enterprise.

UKSE administrator Kim Robinson said: "We are delighted by the response to the appeal, and the generosity of the tenants. I am sure this appeal will make a tangible difference to many who are in difficult situations this Christmas.”
