A Paralympic double gold medallist is set to be one of the speakers at the third South East Wales Business Showcase.

The event, at Chepstow Racecourse on June 12, will hear from Stephanie Millward, who will tell her story of how when training for the Olympics she woke up one morning to discover she had lost her sight.

Although Stephanie went onto discover she had MS it didn’t stop her from achieving her dream of winning a gold medal at an Olympic games.

Stephanie has recently been selected for the world para swimming championships to be held in London during September 2019.

She will be joined at the event by award-winning Jamie McNash who woke up one morning to discover he was paralysed from the waist down.

This took Jamie down many routes before they discovered CRPS, a condition that leaves sufferers like Jamie in continual neurological pain.

Again this didn’t stop Jamie who went on to climb a mountain on his hands. Why? Because he wanted to reach his summit and nothing was going to stop him

These two inspirational speakers will demonstrate that however big your goal you and can and will achieve it. Their honest enlightening insights will help you to understand how sport, adventure, and a positive outlook can triumph in adversity.

Also at the event you can take the opportunity to network and support many exhibitors who are showcasing their businesses throughout the morning.

The event is being sponsored in 2019 by Awaken, Gabb and Co and Chepstow Racecourse.

Tickets are available online at www.eventbrite.co.uk. The event starts at 7.45am with the speakers taking to the stage at 8.30am.
