COUNCILLORS are concerned about the height of a dormer bungalow which is planned for Dewstow Road in Caldicot.
The members of the Monmouthshire planning committee are going to have a look at the site before making a decision on the details of the scheme, although outline approval has already been given.
The local member Cllr Tony Eason said there is a long history to the development in the rear garden at number 15 which started in 1985 when plans were first refused.
He said neighbours objected because the planned dormer would be higher than surrounding bungalows.
"They have no objections to the development but just to the siting and the height which will affect numbers 2 and 10.
Also the position of the new bungalow is too close to number one."
Cllr Eason suggested that members would benefit from a site visit and Cllr Giles Howard and the majority of members agreed.
