WATERFALLS, woodland and wonderful views await you at the fourth Wales Valleys Walking Festival this September.
The fortnight of fabulous walks takes place across the boroughs of Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf from September 5-21.
This year's festival is described as bigger and better than ever, with more than 40 guided walks, all led by experienced and enthusiastic guides with something to tempt walkers of all abilities.
For the historians there are heritage hills, for the photographers’ picturesque hills and for nature lovers, there are hills full of wildlife.
Easy walks include an evening photographic walk in Blaen Bran Woodland, Upper Cwmbran, or for some exertion, try the seven mile castle to castle in Merthyr Tydfil or eight miles following the Bryn Oer Tramroad to Talybont.
More strenuous walks include the nine miles soaring above Aberdare, while the more adventurous can try the very strenuous ten mile Magic Waterfalls at the Ystradfellte Falls.
