AN ABERGAVENNY schoolboy won a national award for his animated film about a rat dissection.
Max Wright, a pupil at King Henry VIII School, beat over 160 other entries from the UK and Republic of Ireland to win Best Biology Film 2010 at the Planet SciCast Awards.
Max made the film with his dad, Dave Wright, giving a less gruesome alternative to the real thing.
He was presented with an award at a ceremony in London;s Royal Institution last month. Judges noted the creativity and scientific value of Max’s work.
