ASDA has announced it will be opening its doors to a new store in Caldicot in October, creating more than 120 jobs.

The firm is in the final stages of recruiting the 120 posts for the 22,000 square foot store; and after receiving 500 applicants, there are still 20 posts still to be filled.

The store will feature a fresh pizza counter and rotisserie, as well as a Click and Collect service and a non-food section including home and technology. There will also be a 4,500 square foot George clothing department.

New store manager, André Ripano, said: “We’re feeling really positive about the number of jobs being created in Caldicot and we can’t wait to get fully recruited ahead of the opening in October.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers into our brand new store."
