CHEPSTOW resident Nancy Phillips celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday with a party at Castle Court Care Home.
Former nurse Mrs Phillips, originally from Llanelli, was joined by about 20 of her family and friends at the party.
The centenarian, who moved to Caerwent in 2000 and then Chepstow in 2009, has one son, Dr David Phillips, three granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
Senior care assistant Elaine Lewis said: “It went successfully and she had a lovely time. They had canapés and champagne and a birthday cake.”
“She got her letter from the Queen as well and Nancy said she had a lovely time.”
