AN Usk poet died as a result of stab wounds to her chest and neck, an inquest has heard.
Anne Jackson, who wrote under the name Anne Cluysenaar, was found dead at her home on Little Wentwood Farm, in Wentwood Road, near Llantrisant on Saturday, November 1. She was 78.
Her 48-year-old stepson Timothy Jackson, of Mount Street in Sheffield, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court earlier this month charged with her murder.
Gwent chief coroner David Bowen, sitting in Newport this morning, opened and adjourned the inquest due to ongoing legal proceedings.
He said Mrs Jackson's body would be released for funeral purposes.
