THE CELTIC Manor Resort, Monmouthshire Cottages and the Abergavenny Food Festival will all be competing in the National Tourism Awards for Wales 2015, as the finalists from across Wales are revealed.

The awards, which are run by Visit Wales, recognise the best in Welsh tourism and include categories such as Best Place to Stay, Best Place to Eat, Best Day Out, Best Event, Best Visitor Welcome, Tourism Skills Development, Best Business Tourism and the new Rising Star category, which recognises those who are up and coming in the industry.

In Gwent , The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport is nominated for the Best Business Tourism Award and Best Place to Stay Award; The Abergavenny food festival is up for the Best Event Award; Monmouthshire Cottages in Chepstow is up for Best Visitor Welcome; Raspberry Tea Room in Cwmbran is up for Best Place to Eat Cafe, and The White Hart Village Inn in Usk is up fore Best Place to Eat Pub Award. Wye Valley Canoes, Wye Valley, is also up for Best Place to Stay under the Hostels, Bunkhouses and Alternative Accommodation category.

The awards, which are run in commercial partnership with Quadrant Media and Communications in Cardiff, will be held on Wednesday 25 March 2015 at The Vale Resort in Hensol, where the winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards will be announced during the awards ceremony and dinner. The last awards, held in Venue Cymru in Llandudno, saw over 500 businesses attend on the night.
