THE man behind a planned £60m redevelopment in Newport city centre says that the Severn Crossings should be renamed and used to promote Gwent and Wales.
Dr Stephen Fear said: “It would be good to have them called something sexier than the Severn Bridge and the Second Severn Crossing. We could then use them to promote the region like other places do with their bridges.”
