THE RSPCA freed a deer which became entangled in a hammock in a Monmouth garden.
RSPCA animal welfare officer (AWO) Sian Burton was called to a Penyclawdd garden on Thursday.
AWO Burton said: “We managed to cut the deer free from the netting.
“The deer stayed quite still for a couple of minutes while it gathered itself and then ran off through a hedge and over a fence.
“It was an unusual thing to happen.”
If you spot a trapped animal you can call the RSPCA national cruelty and advice line on 03001 234999.
