AN USK couple have signed up for three events - two marathons and a half – to raise funds for a Gwent charity.
Matthew and Kate Kelynack, who own Kama Mortgages, are supporting St David’s Hospice Care Foundation by sponsoring the Pontypool 10k Home run on February 28 as well as taking part and running in the Newport City half marathon on March 6 and the London marathon on April 24.
Mrs Kelynack, a mum-of-three said the couple are proud to be running in both events. She said: “Matt and I are both extremely proud to be sporting our own St David’s vests as we are personally running the Pontypool 10k and then the Admiral City of Newport half marathon in March in preparation for the Virgin London Marathon in April.
“We are running together and are committed in raising vital funds for hospice care along the way.”
Race organiser Christine Vorres added: “We are very grateful to have the support of Kama Mortgages. Kate and Matt are inspirational.
“They have a business to run, a young family and still find time to train and fund raise for St David’s.”
