A TEENAGE boy has suffered serious leg injuries following a suspected hit and run in Caldicot.

The 17-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car that failed to stop and the incident occurred along Church Road at 6.40pm on Thursday, March 9.

Gwent Police have launched an appeal for information and are hoping to speak to the driver of a red Vauxhall Corsa VXR, which officers understand will have damage to the driver’s wing mirror and window. 

A spokesman for Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed a pedestrian was taken to Royal Gwent Hospital by ambulance after the collision.

A TEENAGER has been left with serious injuries after a suspected hit and run in Caldicot.

The pedestrian, a 17-year-old boy, is currently in hospital after the collision in Church Road at around 6.30pm yesterday.

Police are trying to trace the driver of a red Vauxhall Corsa seen in the area at the time of the crash.

Officers believe the vehicle may have damage to its windows and may be missing the driver's side wing mirror.
