THOUSANDS of plastic ducks will be seen on the River Wye this weekend.

During the annual duck race, thousands of yellow ducks will be thrown into the River Wye off Brockweir Bridge, near Tintern in Monmouthshire.

The duck race will take place on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 28, and commence start at 12.30pm.

Spectators can join the fun and follow the ducks’ progress down the river by following the river bank, going through The Old Railway Station and across the water meadows to St Michael’s Churchyard.

Refreshments will be available in the churchyard where everyone is welcome.

All proceeds from the event will be used to fund the Tintern Fete and Summer Market, which is due to be held on Saturday, June 24.

Tickets are on sale now from local businesses or visit tinternvillage.co.uk for more information.
