ONE of Monmouthshire’s most popular festivals has released its bumper line-up ahead of its list of summer shows.
Thousands of people from across the UK are expected to descend upon Chepstow Castle for the annual Castell Roc Festival in August.
Set across several days and taking place within the castle walls, the festival has gone from “strength to strength” according to its organisers.
The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, helmed by the actor and broadcaster of the same name, tops a varied bill which also includes Monsters of Roc, a collection of rock tribute acts, and The Magic of Motown, which w ill play 40 back-to-back classics.
A festival spokeswoman said: “Chepstow Castle is a very special place for sure, that has an atmosphere like absolutely nowhere else especially as the sun goes down. Inside, it’s relaxed, chilled out and incredibly intimate.”
A total of 10 acts will play at daily concerts from Thursday, August 17 until Tuesday, August 20. The festival will then return from Friday, August 23 until Wednesday, August 28.
