ABERGAVENNY’S Longtown Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) endured a busy period with four callouts in six days earlier this month.
Between July 12 and July 18, the team rescued a crashed paraglider near Blaenavon, two men with head injuries in and around Abergavenny and a group of young walkers stranded on the Twmpa mountain in Powys.
The group also managed to fit in some training along the way.
Luke Lewis, the team leader, said: “It’s been a busy few days but this is what we are there for.”
