A SPACE shuttle 'crashed' into the grounds of Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery.
Pupils from Year 2 examined the wreckage wearing waterproof trousers, boots, safety goggles and masks before moving in to gather evidence from the crash site.
The staged crash on Thursday was part of the ‘Out of this World’ theme which pupils are enjoying.
Children had returned to Agincourt at the start of the term to find a space shuttle on the outside storage shed and their classrooms transformed.
During their voyage of scientific discovery, the children have built a model of the solar system from fruit and crawled inside a giant inflatable dome to learn about space and planets.
