A TEAM of rowers which includes an Abergavenny mum are halfway through their 3,000-mile transatlantic row for charity.
Atlantic Ladies are 21st out of the remaining 21 crews taking on the “world’s toughest row” but are still in the running to become the first trio of women to row the Atlantic Ocean together.
The crew comprises of Abergavenny’s Elaine Theaker with Dianne Carrington and Sharon Magrath of Shrewsbury.
At 62, Mrs Carrington is still poised to become the oldest woman to row the Atlantic.
As the Free Press went to print, the trio are around 1,500 miles from Antigua, having set off from the Canary Islands on December 14.
