A HEALTH board boss has announced he will be walking the entire 177 miles of the Offa’s Dyke path over the course of 10 days for charity.

Len Richards, CEO of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, will be setting off from Prestatyn on June 23 and walking an average of 18 miles a day for 10 days until he reaches the Sedbury Cliffs, near Chepstow on July 2.

He will be following the trail on the border between England and Wales to raise money for the Cardiff and Vale Health charity as well as his own charity, Improving Chances Mr Richards is encouraging others to help him fundraise by setting up their own donation pages online.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS, he is inviting people to join him on Offa’s Dyke for a specific day or the entire walk to promote teamwork and physical activity by modelling the behaviours that are necessary to promote healthy lifestyles.
