ABERGAVENNY looks set to welcome a jazz festival back again next year following a successful launch at the weekend.
The Wall2wall programme by Black Mountain Jazz saw talented performers light up the Swan Hotel.
Well-attended events took place in the club room and an outside marquee on Saturday and Sunday.
Promoter Mike Skilton, who is looking to stage the event again next year, said: "The Sunday night was brought to an end outside under canvas with a beautiful sunset. All the bands have said how much they enjoyed coming down."
The 606 Gospel Group is the resident gospel band at London's famous 606 Jazz Club.
For some ten years the band has served up the very best in funky live gospel music.
They played their 'Stevie Wonder: A Gospel Music Tribute' featuring Motown music to the audience.
Other entertainment included 'Jazz through the ages' exploring the different types of the music and its influences over time, Christian Brewer Quartet, Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion and the Sarah Gillespie Trio, a fusion of jazz, folk and blues knitted together by poetic lyricism.
There was also plenty to do for families including a workshop for nine to 19-year-olds.
