BUSINESSES in Monmouthshire can take advantage of a free breakfast event designed to help them get up to speed on the benefits of superfast broadband.
The South Wales Chamber of Commerce will host a Fibre for Breakfast session at the St Pierre Marriott, Chepstow on Wednesday, October 15 from 8am until10am with speaker Martin Jones, project manager for the Superfast Cymru programme.
The session forms part of a series of Fibre for Breakfast events the Chamber is running in partnership with Superfast Cymru across South Wales that are designed to highlight the ways in which businesses can maximise the opportunities the roll-out of superfast broadband will bring.
Graham Morgan, director of the South Wales Chamber of Commerce, said: “The roll-out of superfast broadband can be a real game-changer for Welsh businesses. The world is shrinking and even the smallest of businesses can communicate to potential customers across the other side of the globe thanks to online developments.
“One of the main ways they can do this is to make sure that they capitalise on digital media to attract not only a UK audience but also an international one.”
The Welsh Government has spent £58 million on superfast broadband, targeting 96 per cent of homes and business in Wales by the end of 2015.
