A FIFTY-one-year-old man appeared in court this morning charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after an incident in Chepstow.
John Way, of St Lawrence Park, Bayfield, Chepstow spoke only to confirm his name and address at the short hearing at Newport Magistrates Court.
Way is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Julian Davies following the incident at Woolpitch Wood in Chepstow on Tuesday, November 25.
Way, who made no indication of plea, was also charged with possessing a six-inch knife and common assault against Jayne McKendrick.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Newport Crown Court on the grievous bodily harm charge on December 11.
