THE first line-up for a summer music festival that will be held in Chepstow next May has been announced.

The Sunrise Celebration will be held for the second year running in Piercefield Park from May 21 until May 24.

Kosheen’s Sian Evans, Sam and the Womp, System 7, Laid Blak and Johnny Cage and the Voodoo Groove are among the headliners at next year’s festival who have been named by organisers.

Other headliners will be announced early next year and early bird tickets costing £80 are available until December 30.

The festival has previously won The Guardian’s Ethical Travel Award, and Green Parent’s Best Green Festival.

Over the days, organic food, and camping in gypsy caravans, tipis and yurts will all be available.

The solar-powered festival will be completely sustainable and all waste will be ethically recycled.

It has previously been held in Somerset and Wiltshire but moved to Chepstow in May.

Festival-goers were treated to the sight of a 50-foot statue of a Celtic sea god, Mannanan last year.

A children’s area at the festival included circus shows, arts and crafts, a forest school and Victorian fairground and will return in 2015.

Last year headliners included The Correspondents, Will and the People and DJ Chris Tofu.

There was also a talk area, craft workshops and a healing area.
