A MAN had his money and mobile phone stolen after an alleged assault in Chepstow earlier this month.

Police are appealing for information following a robbery on Bank Street, Chepstow, at around 11.15pm on Saturday, March 14.

Gwent Police said a 29-year-old man was walking along the road when he was approached by around three men. He was assaulted, and had money and his iPhone stolen.

He suffered injuries to his face and hand which required treatment at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport but has since been released.

Two men, aged 18, from Chepstow have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
