Chepstow Racecourse is expecting one of the biggest crowds of the summer at this Friday’s Caribbean Night race meeting.

There will be a tropical theme and Caribbean dress is encouraged – prizes will be awarded for the best Hawaiian shirts.

A steel band will play during the early evening, there will be seven live races and Bob Marley tribute act the Trenchtown Experience perform live after racing.

Successful Chepstow bar The Rum Bar sponsors one of the races and will be serving cocktails on the night. Their staff Gareth Jackson, Josh Hodder and Lauren Thompson recently met up with South Wales Argus/Chepstow Racing Club horse Top Cop to promote the event.

Gates open at 3.45pm, racing starts at 5.45pm and The Trenchtown Experience take to the stage at 9.15pm.
