AN Abergavenny man has denied causing death by dangerous driving following a car accident in January.

Nineteen-year-old Jordan Thomas and 35-year-old Lee Fox, both from Abergavenny, were killed in an incident in Abergavenny on January 8. The crash happened on the B4598 near Hardwick and involved two cars, a blue Toyota Celica and a red Citroen C2.

Joshua Ford, 21, appeared at Newport Crown Court charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving. He pleaded not guilty to both counts.

Ford, of Underhill Crescent, Abergavenny, was granted unconditional bail.

His trial, which is expected to last five days, is due to start on January 23 next year.
