A PUBLIC consultation on antisocial behaviour at two sites in Abergavenny has been launched with the view to making a Public Spaces Protection Order.

Fairfield Car Park and the skate park are hotspots for complaints of anti-social behaviour and any order would cover both areas. The order would not stop the lawful use of these areas but would prohibit activities which will endanger the public and property as well as the possession of controlled drugs.

Residents can interact with the 21-day consultation by submitting their views to communitysafety@monmouthshire.gov.uk.

If you have a complaint about anti-social behaviour in your area you should first report it to the police by calling 999 and asking for police in an emergency, or calling 101 for a routine report and to log the incident with the police.

Reports can also be made to the Monmouthshire County Council community hub on Market Street in Abergavenny on 01873 735800.
