FAMILIES in Monmouthshire enjoyed an Easter weekend filled with sun, egg hunts and, more importantly, chocolate.
Raglan Castle, in Monmouthshire, stepped back in time to the Stone Age for some Easter fun.
In a gloriously sunny day, families met Tiny - a 125 million years young dinosaur brought to life by the wonders of modern science
There were dinosaur walkabouts, cavemen and cavewomen characters, a prehistoric trial and face painting for the children, amongst others.
Ava Tunley, 9, visited the castle with her family.
Ava, from Cwmbran, said: “I have had lots of fun today. It is the second time we visit the castle and I enjoy it here because I like history.
“We have been painting and we have done the dinosaur trial – they gave you directions to find the bone cave.
“In the cave, there was a dinosaur egg and it roared.
“We also had a look around the castle and we painted a shield. We have played a lot.”
Sarah Powell, from Ponthir, was also at the castle with her family.
The 39-year-old said: “It is the first time we have been here for about six years. Today was lovely, very nice. The children had a lot of fun, they enjoyed the face painting.”
