A MEETING of Chepstow Chamber of Commerce saw representatives from local retailers and service suppliers come together to share their strategies for the coming year.
The group have had a 30 per cent upswing in members and has set itself an ambitious target of 100 members by the end of the year.
In support of this venture, Chepstow Racecourse have offered a room for current and prospective members at the upcoming meeting on Tuesday, July 4.
The group have also launched a Facebook page “Chepstow, a great place to _ _ _”, with a website and members directory soon to follow.
A talk by entrepreneur Steven Saloman, owner of successful Cardiffdeli, Wally’s, who will talk about revitalising the high street of provincial towns on Wednesday, May 24, at 6pm at St Pierre Hotel & Country Club.
The group will also work with Monmouthshire County Council to help keep the town’s tourist information centre (TIC) open.
