KIND-hearted readers have come to the rescue of a little girl who was left heartbroken when she lost her teddy bear in Abergavenny.
A replacement for Amelia Davies' stuffed bear Ledra is on its way to the two-and-a-half today - all the way from Cyprus.
Concerned members of the Abergavenny community alerted staff at the Louis Ledra Beach Hotel, in Cyprus, where Amelia purchased the bear, to tell them of her plight.
The hotel no longer sells the bear but staff scoured the resort's gift shops to find an identical one to give to the little girl.
It is now in the post and winging its way to Amelia.
Nick Christoforou, front office manager at Louis Ledra Beach Hotel, said: “It is always a pleasure to see our guests happy especially the young princes and princesses”
Mum Cait, 31, made an emotional plea through the South Wales Argus to find her daughter's beloved Ledra bear after it was lost during a walk on the cycle path between Llanfoist and Govilon.
Despite all efforts, the family were unable to find the bear.
She said: "She was heartbroken and I was sobbing with her because I couldn't do anything for her."
