RESIDENTS in Caldicot are invited to see first-hand the plans that the town council have to develop a building into a recreational facility.

The council are proposing to convert the compound at the King George V playing fields into a place which fits the ‘outdoor recreation’ objectives of the Playing Fields Association.

The charity owns the fields in Newport Road while the council manages them on their behalf.

There is also the possibility that a bandstand could be built on the playing fields.

Locals are asked to have their say at an open meeting at the compound in the playing fields car park in Newport Road on Tuesday, November 28.

There they will have a chance to view the plans between 6pm and 7pm. Food and refreshments will then be available at the town council offices from 7pm to 8pm.
