ENTREPRENEURS shared inspiring stories with more than 60 Year 9 pupils at Caldicot School.

Pupils heard the personal journeys of Gwent entrepreneurs and how they turned a hobby in to thriving businesses as Monmouthshire County Council’s (MCC) Youth Enterprise team celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017 on Wednesday, November 15.

Monmouthshire advertising agency director James Robinson, of Hello Starling, author Tim Lebbon, Monmouthshire artist David Charles and independent coffee and vinyl record shop owner Sophie Smith attended the event supported by MCC and Welsh Government job growth initiative Big Ideas Wales.

Pupils took part in an interactive workshop where they were encouraged to think of a business idea derived from their own hobby or interest.

Big Ideas Wales role models, film maker Nathan Webb and Janet Mier, Richard Selby from Pro Steel Engineering and Aaron Reeks, estate agent and Director of the Caldicot Town Team were on hand to provide advice and knowledge to pupils.
