A CONVICTED murderer who went missing from Prescoed open prison, in Usk, a week ago is back in custody after turning himself in.
59 year-old David Cook went missing from the prison on Saturday, June 17, and police were appealing for information regarding his whereabouts.
Cook was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1988 for murder and during his escape members of the public were advised not to approach the prisoner, who was considered a "risk".

A police spokesman said: "Cook has been returned to custody after presenting himself at Reading Police Station to Thames Valley Police."
