THE former Sunnybank Care Home in Griffithstown, near Pontypool, is now up for sale and is hoped to be re-opened as another health care home.
Property consultants Bruton Knowles are inviting any care home operators looking to expand in South Wales to consider the 24-bedroom residential home.
Lisa Roberts, from the property firm’s office in Cardiff, said the home is in a prime location, close to the M4 and a number of nearby towns.
She said: “It is in a well-regarded location in Griffithstown with fantastic views. It will be of interest to existing heath care operators looking to continue to operate the home as a care or mental health facility.
“However, it could just as readily lend itself to conversion or redevelopment.”
The accommodation at Sunnybank also provided its residents with a lounge and kitchen area and laundry, utility and store room facilities.
There is also a lounge, sensory room and facilities for staff, as well as nearly one acre of gardens.
